What we store
Only what you give us: your account details, your lists and items, and the name, optional email and note people enter when they reserve a gift. All of it lives on our own server.
Privacy
Your lists are yours. Here is exactly what we keep and why.
Shared pages
When someone opens a shared list we add one to a counter for that list and day, along with a rough device class (phone, tablet or desktop). When they open a shop link we count that too. No IP addresses, no user agents, no referrers, no cookies for visitors, and no identifier of any kind that could follow a person between visits.
Private until shared
Every list starts private. You choose which lists get a share link and who receives it.
No ads, no cross-site tracking
Dearly shows no ads and does not follow you around the web. Your shopping habits are your own.
Third-party analytics
This deployment loads no third-party analytics scripts at all.
Never sold
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. Ever.
No payments
Dearly has nothing to buy, so we never ask for card details.
